Review of San Pedro de Atacama’s Baltinache lagoons tour, with saltwater floating, mountain views, meals, costs, guides, and practical tips.

“It was a really underwhelming tour for what we paid. The “lagoon” tour was really short.. it was a half hour walk to see the “7 lagoons” but in reality, only 2 out of 7 lagoons were worth seeing, the rest were sort of evaporated puddles. I guess the highlight was being able to swim at the last lagoon for like 20 minutes. All in all totally not worth 54 USD, or even half that price. The breakfast served was nice though”

“Great experience! My family of 5 (2 adults, 3 kids ages 10, 13, 15) were picked up on time and joined a small group of other tourists at the viewing site. Our English-speaking guide Claudio was great and we learned a lot! The stars that we saw through the telescopes were really interesting and they all had something special about them. Claudio had great knowledge and kept our kids engaged with just the right amount of facts. We had brought blankets, but the provided ponchos were thoughtful and kept us warm. We all really enjoyed the fire at the end and the delicious array of snacks and drinks. The whole…”

He spoke very good English and we were happy to finally experience and English tour here that was not done half in spanish. The food was also very good and the driver too. The sites and scenery are of course breathtaking.”
