Just before sunrise it’s about 14°F but as the sun comes over the volcano it drops to 6°F. Then in an hour it’s in the 40s. Bring scarf hat gloves warm socks down jacket. I did fine but I’m used to cold. In addition, we were able to see James’s Flamings that are only found in the high elevations. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and it was a very enjoyable morning tour.”
